8. Shine My Dark (Blackie Steele) < www.youtube.com/BlackieSteele > Take Me Home (2008) (Without wolves) This small Orchestral Ensemble consists of 2 Nylon Rhythm Guitars (double tracked for Harmonic Rhythm), 1 Electric Guitar and 1 Nylon Guitar (double tracked for Harmonic Melody Solo), 1 Synth Guitar (for Melodic Harmony), 1 Electric Bass, 1 Harp, 1 Acoustic Grand Piano, and 1 Synthesizer.
Take Me Home is my first small Orchestral Ensemble in over 25 years. The piece is EQ'd to 10 Instruments. I decided to leave the last track empty in the event that others or my Self may wish to play along with the composition.
I did wish to create a more substantial Bass Guitar score to this work, but I found that too much of a good thing ruined the entire piece! The instruments and the nature of their musical arrangements already create a natural bass frequency which carries the music well enough on its own. To have added any more to this would have resulted in an unwarranted domination quite untasteful.
To all the Harp players in the world, you will either love or hate me for this score, but I'm sure that for anyone who can pull it off, the result is nothing less than a thrilling challenge!
In the future, after my Baby Grand has been repaired and tuned, I would like to do another performance of this piece for the Piano alone. In the meantime, the Piano has been added to the Ensemble beginning at the first melody solo breaking away from the remaining theme of the score. You will find the presence of the Piano throughout the remainder of the piece.
LYRICS:
Take me home Take me home Take me home, far away Take me home, far from here
Here I am Here I am Here I am Here I am
Can I stay, here with you? Can I stay, here with you?
Here with you Here with you Here with you Here with you
My sweetest lullabye The One I long to find
Please give you Love, give you Light, give you Life please give you Love Please give you Love, give you Light, give you Life... Please give you Love tonight Inside of us Please let me fly Fly, with you inside All my Love
My Phantom in disguise For you my Soul does cry
Ensemble Solos 1 and 2
My Eagle in the sky Above the Sun we fly
Please give you Love, give you Light, give you Life please give you Love Please keep us warm, keep us safe, Here I am...
Please can I stay with you All through the night Inside of us I pray for you Inside of us Please stay alive Inside of us
All my Love

9. ProgMom67 Music & Art (Julie) < www.youtube.com/user/ProgMom67 > JET - Paul McCartney & Wings Cover Instrumental cover of "Jet" by Paul McCartney & Wings (from March of 1974). I played all the tracks and instruments w/ the following stuff: Guitar 1: Godin xtsa w/ GuitarRig amps Guitar 2: Ibanez Artcore w/ GuitarRig amps Bass: Ibanez Micro Drums: Yamaha DTXpress kit Keys: Nord Electro 2 All audio was recorded in GarageBand w/ a MOTU UltraLite firewire interface. Video composited in Final Cut Express and iMovie - on a Mac of course! It was my birthday and I got to spend the day doing whatever I wanted, so I decided to play in my studio. I always loved this song growing up and it's a lot of fun to play. Please excuse my rare drumming attempts here (and the drum mix isn't the best either! Thank you so much for watching, listening and commenting. I appreciate it... PEACE!
