This is a demonstration of the 'modulation delay' effect on the Line DL4 delay pedal. I play a section from a song called 'Fortune Unknown' by my band Vinyl Future.

The pedal is set to the 'Digital Delay + Mod' setting, I also have a Boss RV-5 and a Boss CE-5 connected to the effect loop of my amp which is a Line 6 Flextone II.

Demonstration of the ryhthmic delay settings of the Line 6 DL4 to create the famous dotted eighth type delay sound.

Using the tap tempo function in conjunction with the 'rhythmic delay' setting u can set the note length of the delay, for example tap quarter notes on the 'tap tempo' button and the pedal will produce delays in eighth note triplets as selected using the 'delay time' knob.

I mess around with 'Run Like Hell' by Pink Floyd as an example, played from memory, so probably wrong (should have got a tab).

This is a demonstration of the Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler in the Auto Volume Delay mode.

I use a Boss CE-5 Chorus pedal set to a very subtle chorus in conjunction with a Boss RV-5 set to a short 'Room' Reverb to thicken the sound. All pedals are connected to my amps Effects Loop via a Gig Rig Pro 14 and Gig Rig Humdinger.

I am using a GigRig Pro 14 switching system to control my amps and effects. More info on this unit can be found at:

This is a demonstration of the Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler in the 'Tube Echo' mode. I am trying to demonstrate how the stock DL4 can colour your tone and affect the frequency spectrum of your amplifier. I repeat the same riff a few times, turning the DL4 on and off in turn in order demostrate this tonal shift. There is also a very slight volume drop when the DL4 is enagaged, which isnt picked up terribly well by my digital camera.

The DL4 is connected to my amps 'Effects Loop' via a Gig Rig Pro 14 and Gig Rig Humdinger.
