We are THE WOMEN WHO ROCK!
We are THE FEMALE GUITAR PLAYERS!

The goal of Female Guitar Players is to:


1. Provide FEATURE opportunities which expose and showcase talented players requiring support and resources.

2. Create a strong and organized presence in the world media for Female Guitar Players.

3. To present an opportunity for Female Guitar Players to benefit from a global network of other Players through which to expand social contacts.

4. Assist Female Guitar Players to expand their skills, resources, contacts, and overcome obstacles to success!

Facts About Female Guitar Players

1. Female Guitar Players is a non-profit entity owned by Blackie Steele.

a) Female Guitar Players was first created on MySpace in 2007. The name of the website is "Female Guitar Players Only". The original name was "Female Guitar Players Who Rock".

b) Within a short time of its creation, another person on MySpace created a channel called "Female Guitar Players Who Rock" and stole the entire concept and the slogan "Who Rock" from Blackie Steele's artwork created for her group. Within a week, this same said person garnished Blackie Steele's entire Friend Network and after changing their location several times from New York City to California, occasionally also Toronto was used, Blackie's project was put on hold as this other person proceeded to interact and engage themselves with every female guitar playing artist and band on a global level as was possible.

c) Needless to say, this person on MySpace had been a member of Blackie Steele's websites on both YouTube and MySpace for some time, and after having watched Blackie, and learning from her methods, snatched the whole thing from her in a swallow! As a result of this action, it become noticeable that many Female Guitar Artists and Bands began to suffer a dire lack of anything called a career. That is because this person was a fraud and had nothing to offer. This person also removed Blackie's membership without notice.

d) In 2008, Blackie Steele created Female Guitar Players on YouTube.

e) In 2011, Blackie Steele created Female Guitar Players on both Facebook and Twitter.

f) A strong note is made here regarding the Facebook Group called "Female Guitar Players Who Rock", owned by British female guitar player, Jacqueline Taylor. In the Autumn of 2011, Miss Taylor created a Facebook Group using the same name and banner wording as that which had already been established by Blackie Steele since 2007. This Facebook Group has nothing to do whatsoever with the the work and efforts of Blackie Steele to help support and promote female guitar players on a global level. In short, there is no affiliation here.

2. All material used here is used under the terms of Fair Use.

3. All material used here is given credit under all possible circumstance to their rightful owners. (A great deal of extra time and effort is spent here including this extra information whenever and wherever necessary as a gesture of respect to all those who have contributed to the world of Music in some way).

4. We try very much not to "hot wire" posts here in the Forum. We ask that you do the same also.
