Take Me Home (Without Wolves) (2008)

This small Orchestral Ensemble consists of 2 Nylon Rhythm Guitars (double tracked for Harmonic Rhythm), 1 Electric Guitar and 1 Nylon Guitar (double tracked for Harmonic Melody Solo), 1 Synth Guitar (for Melodic Harmony), 1 Electric Bass, 1 Harp, 1 Acoustic Grand Piano, and 1 Synthesizer.

Take Me Home is my first small Orchestral Ensemble in over 25 years. The piece is EQ'd to 10 Instruments. I decided to leave the last track empty in the event that others or my Self may wish to play along with the composition.

I did wish to create a more substantial Bass Guitar score to this work, but I found that too much of a good thing ruined the entire piece! The instruments and the nature of their musical arrangements already create a natural bass frequency which carries the music well enough on its own. To have added any more to this would have resulted in an unwarranted domination quite untasteful.

To all the Harp players in the world, you will either love or hate me for this score, but I'm sure that for anyone who can pull it off, the result is nothing less than a thrilling challenge!

In the future, after my Baby Grand has been repaired and tuned, I would like to do another performance of this piece for the Piano alone. In the meantime, the Piano has been added to the Ensemble beginning at the first melody solo breaking away from the remaining theme of the score. You will find the presence of the Piano throughout the remainder of the piece.

@geegee29580 I was born in the Maritimes of Eastern Canada, but taken to Central Canada where I was raised for the next 13 years. I have lived in BC for many years and met many great people there. I was a sixties scoop child, I was taken when I was 5, and never saw my family again, till I was in my twenties, when I searched for them. I lived a childhood of hell, thanks to the government, and I still am in therapy! It never goes away, and I do not accept the apology from the government. In fact, I sued them and they settled but admitted no wrong doing.!

@feblandmusic With all due respect and total appreciation for this comment, Take Me Home is not a "New Age" composition. My music has nothing to do with the New Age Movement, nor is that a religion I have anything to do with personally. This composition is an expression of my own soul, life experience, and a very important issue for my Aboriginal Nation. I am happy that you enjoyed the music however. Wow, this is incredible. Your sound is perfect. Every note resonates perfection.

It reminds me of time ticking away. Your tone is nice an crisp. That is very difficult to capture. The guitar even sounds like a harp at times. IMPRESSIVE.
