APPLICATION FOR THE HONORS PROGRAM
AT ZIPPCASTwww.zippcast.com/FemaleGuitarPlayersI am the owner of Female Guitar Players as found on Zippcast, YouTube, MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, and Proboards. I have supported Female Guitar Players since 2007, and I am a Female Guitar Shredder and Music Teacher my Self since the 1980s. I work free of charge and seek to continue supporting Female Players with the most professional promotions I am capable of. As my video skills continue to improove, my goal is to contribute as much as is possible to the growing awareness of the important role Women have played in the Music Industry, and including an educational effort to share the important "roots" of this increasing career choice. My Channel will also include important guitar lessons, guitar exercises, advice on style, design, fashion, A&R, presentation, advertising, information regarding the pitfalls of the Industry, personal confidence and self-esteem, connections to Radio Stations and Television opportunities, as well as social networking resources for countless areas of concern for Female Players. I also seek to close the gap between Vintage Female Players and the younger generation. I believe that the Honors Program will help bring more attention and awareness to all Female Guitar Players and Shredders everywhere, and bring them the attention they have worked so hard to earn and enjoy. According to Steve Vai, Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson's first female guitarist), She Rocks and Guitar Player Magazine, by the year of 2030, over the half the guitar players in the world will be women. I would like ZippCast to be a part of this amazing musical revolution that is taking place, right now! It is my hope that ZippCast will take seriously my request to consider an application that will allow Video Contests and fan/friend voting to take place (i.e. GreyTube had a Module called "Ask Your Friends". This Module was perfect for sponsoring contests and providing a very expansive exposure to countless Female Players. The absence of this feature is the predominate reason why 99% of my GreyTube members will not switch over to Zippcast). I believe that Female Guitar Players represents a "high profile" channel. I would like to see it become more successful here than it has ever been anywhere else on the Internet. Please support Female Guitar Players by granting the Honors Program to this Channel. Still On ZippCast
As of this date, Female Guitar Players is still located on the ZippCast Server. At this present time, ZippCast has been down since June of 2012 due to countless hacking incidents and the effects these had on the ZippCast staff. Due to the sudden expansion ZippCast experienced resulting from thousands of YouTube Members switching over to ZippCast, ZippCast was unable to pay the required Server Bill as well as unsuccessful in obtaining the necessary donations on a regular basis.
Over the summer months, ZippCast went on vacation and all Members have eagerly waited for the news as to whether or not ZippCast would return at a later time or shut down altogether on a permanent basis. Recently, ZippCast has posted on Facebook that they are going to do Beta testing in the near future with a small handful of members willing to help them out with this task. After the testing is done, ZippCast may or may not decide to continue.
When I receive news as to what the outcome will be, I will post the results here and make whatever decisions are necessary concerning the outcome. I really enjoyed ZippCast, and aside from being a Second Team ZippCast Staff Member myself, I personally really hope that ZippCast will return and continue providing video hosting services to the public for a long time to come!
