Go to around the 8:00 mark to see the actual trick. I give an in depth look at the way to do this trick. I studied backstage videos of Edward to get this to sound exactly like his version. There really is no right or wrong way as long as you make the sound close. I'm using an Ibanez S Series, Fender Supersonic, TC Electronic Tube Factor and TC Electronic G Force.
