WINFIELD ABOUT THIS VERY UNIQUE RECORDING: "I would first like to say thank you again to "The Commander" and Elisabeth Hagen for giving me the opportunity to work on such an original project. It is refreshing to work on a recording that is nothing like everything else that is going on in music currently. Furthermore, as a producer and engineer for the last twenty-‐one years, I feel that the following needs to be said for many reasons: I am very proud to acknowledge the fact that what you are hearing is all 100% musician played performances! During the course of listening to these songs, you will NOT hear one drum hit that was moved around, placed on a grid, "Sound Replaced" or augmented in any way whatsoever. You will also NOT hear "Auto-‐ Tuner", "Melodyne" or any other vocal tuning software of ANY kind! That being said, I will answer the burning question looming in your minds... Yes, "The Commander In Chief" played ALL of the guitar you're hearing, and sang every single note. Not only did she do all of this, but she did it all with more great attitude, and professionalism than a lot of the veteran musicians I know that have been doing this almost longer than she has been alive. All of the musicians that played on this project were truly great! They all performed above and beyond the call of duty and I was proud to be a part of it. I think that it is important to mention these things so that listeners and musicians alike can see that music can be made without all of the trappings or abuse of digital recording tools. This experience was also proof to me that there are musicians out there that still take pleasure in playing/singing and relying upon the discipline it takes to do so. I am a nine year old guitarist. I had my first guitar lesson when I was six years old, and I am one of the lead guitarists in The Mini Band. The Mini Band have enjoyed playing many gigs since the band started, the largest so far being Blissfields Festival, Weyfest, and at Proud2 at the O2 London (in the final of the Live and Unsigned 2012 competition). Both myself and the band have featured on TV around the world, and appeared on the Live With Gabby show in the UK. I love playing rock music, especially Metallica, Guns n Roses, and Foo Fighters. 16 year old girl Guitarist JESS LEWIS plays incredible version of 'Feeling Fine' by Alex Uploaded on 23 Jan 2011 Amazing 16 year old Jessica "Jess" Lewis performs an astoundingly accurate version of Alex Hutchings mega ballad 'Feeling Fine'. Recorded 'Live' in the Jamtrackcentral studio by our gobsmacked camera and audio team in London. For the Gear Heads....... Jess used her Fender Strat plugged into a D*A*M Red Rooster (Treble booster) pedal. This went into a LANEY GH 50L amp head going into a Cornford 1 X 12 open backed cab loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. This was mic'ed up with a Shure SM 57 and an AKG 414 UBLS to add a little body to the tone. We used Neve 1073 preamps with the SM57 fed into a Purple Audio MC77 limiter. No eq needed and reverb came from Logic Pro's Space Designer. "Nice Plate" setting. You can purchase the original version of this track by Alex Hutchings (PLUS MUCH MORE).
