If you really want to play like Yngwie, and master his licks, then one of the most important things is being able to slow down his solos, so you can really hear what he's doing, and learn note-for-note. For me, this has really helped to learn Yngwie's licks! I use RiffmasterPro, because it's really cheap, and works brilliantly! Ok, more like how to sound like Yngwie, but you get the idea! People often ask me about my tone/how to get the Yngwie tone, so I thought I'd answer with a video. One thing I don't really address in the video is the cost of all this stuff! No doubt it's expensive... If you're on a budget, then I'd say you're better to wait and wait, and only buy good stuff when you can afford it, as opposed to cheaper alternatives more often. Better to play totally unplugged than with a crap tone, that's for sure.
Just for the record, I use the power of the wide wide world or web to pay for my equipment. For those who aren't eternal sceptics and would like to do the same, then by all means check out the website that I used...
